3 out of 5 stars Ok sound, ok quality, needs a carrying case, needs better sound...   March 10, 2010

I've owned a lot of headphones over the years. This set is ok, if it didn't cost $50. For $25 I would have rated it higher.

The sound quality is just ok, the range is fair, the battery life is fine. The two biggest problems is the sound is not really that impressive and the overall quality is a bit flimsy. It folds up, then folds in half. Sounds good, but without a carrying case, it doesn't "lock up" into place, it just flops around.

I don't mind it, but for $50 I'd expect better. I'm thinking of replacing them with a nicer set, haven't decided yet. I wouldn't order them again, given the choice.

4 out of 5 stars I love my DRBT22 :)   December 27, 2009

I was looking for a bluetooth stereo headset that I could use with my phone. I have a medical condition that makes my hearing fluctuate and I found using both ears helped me greatly in making out words. So I found this cute little folding headset on Amazon and thought I'll give it a shot.

It connects to all my bluetooth gadgets using either A2DP Stereo or 2way headset mode. Connection, setup, and pairing is as easy as it can get. The sound quality compares very well if you are not an audiophile looking for thumping bass or glass-shattering highs. Over all reproduction is very good. I compare it to the leading brand headphones which costs about the same.

You have easy controls for volume, play/pause, ffw/rew, and next/previous. I found this works with my Sony Micro Hi-Fi as well as with Windows Media Player, and my Blackberry. Headset works with Vista (I tried it with Skype and Google Talk) and the voice quality is good both ways.

Even though the frame looks very fragile due to it's folding joints, it has with stood more than a year's abuse by me and my kids. the battery holds up for more than 4 hours of usage and I haven't tested the total drainage yet.

The only problem I found with using a Bluetooth is that, if you are watching a movie on your TV, and you try to use a bluetooth audio, there is lag in the audio that kills the purpose. May be it's an issue with my hardware set up. I wired the DVD player to the TV, routed the TV audio to my Bluetooth enabled Sony Micro Hi-Fi, from where it's streamed to my headset. But it's perfect when I watch movies from my computer.

Over all, this is a good buy if you are looking for either a Bluetooth headset which you can also use to listen to music, or just a Bluetooth headphone without extra bass. Good for the money. Recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Great value.   November 19, 2009

This headphone set works great with my iPod Touch 2nd gen. without the need of any seperate transmiter. I searched all the Bluetooth units on Amazon and weighed all the pros and cons from all the reviews. This unit seemed to fit my needs best and I was right. I couldn't be more pleased.

3 out of 5 stars Average, but works well   September 10, 2009

I have the Sennheiser PX 100 and they work, but I wanted to go Bluetooth and do away with the annoying cord. I tried the new Jabra Halo. However, there were design flaws and other problems so I promptly returned them. Then I got the Sony DRBT22 and it seems to be okay.

This headset has average, but acceptable sound quality when listening to music. The voice quality on calls is about on par with many mono Bluetooth headsets. I did not have any problem pairing it with my iPhone. However, the FF/REW does not work with the iPhone. Although, pressing the center of that button for Pause/Resume does work. I was able to pair it with my laptop running Vista and the FF/REW does work on the PC.

Just holding up this headset and slightly swinging it, the thing seems like it will fall apart because it is so flimsy. However, when you put them on, they feel very secure. They are fairly light weight and therefore feel comfortable on the head and ears.

The bottom line is this: You get what you pay for. This headset is fairly low priced. Therefore, the sound and build quality is going to be average. Although, I think this headset should meet most user's needs.

5 out of 5 stars Superb-nice sound and work with everything I throw at them!   August 30, 2009
Steven A. Lianides (West Hartford, CT)
I'll keep this simple: Very comfortable, excellent sound-especially for Bluetooth, easy to set up, works perfectly with my Blackberry Storm, Jabra A125s BTooth adapter with my 1st gen iPod Touch and iPod Classic.

Remember: certain things like sound quality and construction are very subjective. Some people complain about the contruction, which I find to be excellent. They feel a little strange because they FOLD UP! I'm willing to forgo "tank like" feel for convenience. Hissing? Depends on many factors, equipment and conditions not being the least. The fact you can use them with your cell phone is an added benefit. Clear sound quality on both ends.

If you can get these for $25-40.00, do yourself a favor and buy 1 or even 2 sets. A supreme bargain at those prices.
